Fingers In Pies
Posted by Neil | Filed under Dreams
So last week had Neil A engineering and playing on a demo for another group, Neil S adding to the Gear List with further purchases for bass-related stuff, Stevie V arranging rehearsal sessions for a Eurythmics tribute band, and Dan arranging some songs written by one ‘Crazy’ Vince Neads for future recording. TDT HQ would like to reassure everyone reading this that TDT work is also carrying on apace. You can verify this by attending the show in Southampton on 14th January. When hopefully everyone will have cleaned the pie off their fingers…
Happy New Year

Happy New Year and Seasons Greetings to all you followers of either/or The Dreaming Tree and arbitrary dates in the Gregorian calendar. Here’s a quick capsule review of what’s coming up for the band in the year of someone’s Lord 2012!
We’ll be looking towards a release of a new album, with new songs and new artwork and all that kind of thing, we’ll be doing some of that playing thing in the live arena with instruments, singing, light shows and the like, we’ll be possibly looking at hitting the road in foreign climes where they speak in a different language (and I’m not talking about Dudley…), there may be interesting developments with producers, new recording studios to try and other things that may or may not happen that we may or may not announce.
One things we can say for certain is that the first show of the year takes place this month, and will be at Southampton’s The Hobbit, and you can find details of that on the gigs page of the website. Or, if you really are that lazy, click here.
The band hope your 2012 is a good one!
Thanks From The Band!

The Dreaming Tree assorted cast and crew, bunch of Muppets that they are, would like to roundly and heartily thank and congratulate all and everyone who came to the Old Post Office show and made it a great success. Judging from how well the whole thing went, it could be that throughout the next year the band will focus more on putting on it’s own shows rather than simply ‘doing the rounds’ as before. The scope to increase the visual elements of the show were certainly a great bonus we’d like to investigate further. So cheers to you all for your much welcome support, and we’ll hopefully see some of you at the Bell and Talbot for our last gig of the year this coming Friday.

Gig Now Ex…

In what could possibly rank as our shortest ever confirmed show, this Saturday’s gig supporting XUFO is now, well, an ex gig with XUFO. Our understanding is that the show has been pulled from the events listing, and as a result the band will now not be appearing in Wolverhampton at Walkabout. So neither will TDT. Many apologies for the confusion, and we’re sorry to anyone who was planning on making the trip to come along and see us. It will free up your evening for watching X Factor, though. Or if that’s not your bag, throw on a DVD and watch X-Men. Or Vin Diesel in xXx. Or even X-rated films, if that’s your thing.
Please, make me stop now…
Surprise Show With Aliens!
Posted by Neil | Filed under Spreading Rumors, Wired
The Dreaming Tree will be playing at the Aussie-themed sports-and-bar venue Walkabout in Wolverhampton this coming Saturday 26th November as the support band for XUFO. This is a hard rockin’ group made up of ex members of classic NWOBHM band UFO, and members of the Micheal Schenker Group, and they’re currently touring. Roll on over if you’re in the area and check out what promises to be a good show all round. The tickets are £6 on the door, you can get in from 7.30pm, and TDT are on at 8.30pm. Further details can be found on the gigs page, or by looking at the list on the right of this page.
December Solstice Show

As we roll towards that time of year when everyone eats too much and indulges to the nth degree, why not splash out further on a ticket for what must surely be the must-see gig of the year? At the intimate Old Post Office venue in Shrewsbury, the evening of December 3rd 2011 will see Nikki Rous and her band play on the bill with TDT. Could you really ask for a better way to kick off December? Other than perhaps an obscene lottery win?
The princely sum of £5 in advance will secure a ticket to this event, so act swiftly to avoid disappointment, otherwise you’ll just have to take our word that it was the bestest thing ever to happen in the history of ever. Gig Tweaks

A quick note to update everyone on further gig plans for the rest of the year. The Hobbit gig in Southampton that was scheduled for November 19th has been sadly moved, due to the venue needing extra time to prepare for a major event that was beginning the day after. But fear not, we have already confirmed some shows back down in Southampton very early next year. News will be posted on that very shortly.
We’ve also updated the gigs list with what we have left for the year. Peruse the column to your right and see when you can get a TDT fix before we click over into the year marked 2012…

Its been a month or two since we updated the website with news, but there is lots of groovy things happening. First of all a couple of gigs coming up. TDT are supporting Plack Band II for the Classic Rock Society on the 5th of November at The Wesley Centre Maltby Rotherham. Check out the gigs page for details. We are also putting on our own end of year show in Shrewsbury at The Old Post Office. We have a very special support act, the talented Nikki Rous and her new band. Head over to our Facebook event page for further details.
The band also continues to write new material for our forth coming new album. We currently have 9 new songs and Im putting another two new ideas down at the monent in readiness to present to the boyz at rehearsal. We are also planning new year gigs along with another show at The Theatre On The Steps in Bridgnorth, hopefully with our good friends Jump, but more info to follow on that one. The band will also be returning to Germany in July 2012 to play with our good friends Arylin at their great festival, again, more news to follow on that one too.
So all in all things are still very busy for the band and we look forward to the next few exciting adventures.

Greetings tree folk, as you will no doubt be aware TDT recently had the opportunity to play in Germany at the kind invitation of our goods friends Arylyn. The whole weekend as a real blast, and it was great to catch up with the boys whom we had not seen for a couple of years. We also made lots of new friends especially those with mechanical and engineering expertise since these kind folks got our van working again! Any way we played and arrived safely back in the UK with some great experiences and some great pictures courtesy of Philipp Kettenbach. Check the out on our gallery. We will hopefully be going back next year for more mayhem and cheap German beer!
