At last…a new CD!!!

At last we finally have our finished master of the new “Progress has no patience” album. Neil and myself braved the snows of the kingdom of Londinium last Thursday and first met up with Karl Groome in Bracknell to collect the studio master, then on through the blizzard of Harrow on the M25 to the realm of Cambridge were we eventually got to our hotel room at 12:30am, knackered to say the least. Anyhow, Friday morning we met up with Karen and Simon at Sound Recording Technology who we have chosen to do our mastering with and began the mastering session. After a brief run down of the tracks and Simon the engineer helping Neil and myself understand the finer points of high end mastering we began our 5 hour session. The session ran smoothly with sandwiches and coffee on tap and Neil and myself ginning like two deranged chimps. At the finale we had to make the decision about the gaps between the tracks and in true TDT style asked Simon to do it and we will tweek. All in all a great day and a great experience. Neil and myself are still grinning like chimps which will no doubt last all Christmas…
